Well, my last blog was pretty bold! So thought I would update where I’ve got to so far.
This week has been a real heavy week of work and some personal issues have cropped up too. So unfortunately things haven’t gone quite to plan. No surprise there! But I’ve still stayed positive!
This weekend I’m going to start a fresh and weigh myself on Sunday so I can get back into the routine of weighing myself every other Sunday in the month. I’m also going to do some food shopping at the weekend and get some more fresh fruit and vegetables. Great thing is both me and my husband have got into the habbit of buying and eating fresh fruit and vegetables with all meals.
I’ve started walking to and from work more often which is good! I still get the bus every now and again, but that’s when I’m carrying loads of stuff that I can’t carry (like the 8 pints of milk the other day!)
I’ll be going to the gym next Monday now and I’ll be chatting to one of the trainers there to help me with a new regime. My injured wrist still isn’t completely right, but it’s healed enough to start exercising it more which is great news!
Replacing pasta and rice with more veg has been very easy and very satisfying indeed! Also having healthier puddings is moving back in the right direction too! Having more low fat and low sugar yogurts to have with fruit is very nice and great to have in the hotter weather as it’s much more fresh!
Sugar in tea is getting there, slowly! I’m going to take some green tea into work so that I can start having that instead of normal tea and have a little bit of honey instead of sugar if it needs something to take that little bitter edge off.
As for being more headstrong against my health issues, it’s a very hard progress. I know it’s not going to happen overnight, not matter how hard I try and the physical symptoms are always there. But I’m feeling positive and I’m managing to get through each day with a bit more hope.
Nothing much else to report for the time being. But I’ve made an ok start and feel positive!

OK folks, I’ve been blogging for a long time now and although I have lost weight, it’s time to get more serious, more motivated and lose more pounds!
I’ve made a lot of changes to my diet, cutting back on sugar and fat, exercising more and controlling my portions. The thing is, I have slipped back into bad habits far too often and it’s time for me to make the biggest change so far in my weight loss saga! I think back to when I went to the gym regularly, ate nothing but fruit and veg and lean meats and drank loads of water. I could feel myself progressing so well! But now, I’ve fallen back into snacking on biscuits (low fat but still not fruit!) skipping out on the gym, and drinking more low sugar drinks.
Well, I’m going to whip myself back into shape! With my hubby helping me out to keep me on the straight and narrow and with my mindset fixed on hitting my ideal weight by the end of this year, I better get myself sorted!
So what’s the plan? To get back into the good habits I learned and to stick with them!
* Gym 3 times a week. At least 15 minutes of cardio and one lot of weight exercise.
* Have a review at the gym to mix things up a bit and learn new exercises for weight loss.
* Get back into walking to and from work.
* Small, frequent meals throughout the day.
* Replacing chips, pasta and rice with salads and vegetables.
* Replacing naughty puddings with low fat yoghurt and fruit.
* Get back into weighing myself regularly to keep on track.
* Refuse sugar in teas, and have green tea more often.
* Make my blogs for frequent to update my progress and confess to any setbacks!
I get easily overwhelmed with my health issues and because of this, I end up giving up and doing whatever I think will make me feel best. But in reality, it just stops me from progressing and I end up not doing anything and feeling low because I haven’t done anything! I need to be stronger and more motivated to hit my goal. I want to do it this year and I think if I can keep this mindset, I’ll hit my goal and never be overweight again!
Proactol has been a godsend for someone like me who can’t always do the exercise I need due to health issues. No longer am I fighting a losing battle. Since taking Proactol, I actually haven’t had to worry about gaining weight as the least it will do is maintain my current weight until I can get back on track again.
